The .eu is the new European extension that helps users affirm and widen their web presence by overcoming national borders. The .eu registration allows users to get their online presence in areas where it was previously impossible to obtain a domain name.

Registration rules for .eu domains:

  • They can only be registered by companies regularly registered in one of the European Union Member States, associations regularly established in the European Union, or physical persons resident in Europe
  • No limit to the number of registered domains
  • Number of characters: 2-63 extension excluded
  • Accepted characters: "a - z", "0 - 9", and "-". However, these characters cannot appear as the first or the last characters of the domain name. If next to each other, they are not allowed as third or fourth character
